Why It Works:
We don’t just teach tricks — we help dogs think better, improve problem-solving, and build trust with their owners for long-term behaviour change.
Is your dog going through the “Teenage Phase”?
If your dog was great as a puppy but has suddenly become harder to handle, you’re not imagining it, and you haven’t failed as an owner.
Between 6 and 18 months, dogs go through an adolescent phase. Their brain is rewiring, their hormones are surging, and the recall that worked perfectly at 10 weeks seems to have completely vanished. They’re easily distracted, more impulsive, and suddenly very interested in everything except you.
This is the stage most owners come to us. It’s also the stage where the right structure makes the biggest difference.
Our obedience training is built with these dogs in mind — helping you rebuild focus, establish calm behaviour, and get back to enjoying your dog again.
Most owners start seeing real improvement within the first two or three sessions.
You haven’t missed the window. This is exactly the right time to start.

Real Results from Happy Clients
“We really enjoyed the 6 weeks of training we did with Lauren. It’s very handy being able to do it 1:1 at home & you can tell she has great experience with all dogs & understands their behaviour so well. Our dog loved her & we learnt lots. Each session comes with notes so all the family can practise afterwards! Definitely would recommend.”
“Lauren was great. Spent lots of time with each family member ensuring they all knew tricks and could control a very excitable labrador.”
“We have a staffy, now 7 months old, and for the first 4/5 months was an absolute handful. A super energetic dog, that nipped and chewed any part of the body it could. With 2 young kids and a pup that was quickly growing, we needed help.
I contacted Lauren, and from the first phone call a plan was in action. With weekly sessions, and improvements from the first hour, our pup was now acting as a family member. Calm, gentle, and listening. Commands were not making rules for the pup, but instead, fun and satisfying routines which turned into normal everyday behaviour all whilst rewarding the pup along the way.
Lauren and planet pup could not have made it any easier, teaching me how to communicate with the pup without repeating no, stop, out, or generally getting annoyed and putting him in the crate.
Also along the way teaching him fun tricks, walking on loose leash, and routine time outs for naps.
Could not suggest anyone better for what I needed. Thank you Lauren.
Kind regards, King (Kong, king of the blues)”

Frequently Asked Questions
01 What age does my dog need to be for obedience training?
Our obedience course is designed for dogs aged 6 months and older. If your dog is younger, we recommend starting with puppy training.
02 What happens after I book?
After you book, you’ll receive access to my booking calendar, where you can book your training sessions at times that suit you.
If you’ve booked a Behaviour Consult, go ahead and book your follow-up sessions through the calendar. I’ll then contact you separately to arrange your history call before your initial consultation.
03 Do I need any specific equipment?
Once you book the course, you will receive an email with the full agenda and equipment list. Equipment includes items that you likely already have, such as a lead, harness, collar, bed and treats.
04 Is this training suitable for reactive or fearful dogs?
Our obedience course is best suited to dogs who can work in a learning environment without extreme fear or reactivity. If your dog struggles with significant fear, aggression, or reactivity, we recommend booking a behaviour consultation first so we can create a tailored plan to set them up for success.
05 What will my dog learn during the 6-week course?
Your dog will learn how to walk politely on a lead, come when called (even with distractions), listen well in the home, go to bed when asked, and much more.
06 How long are the sessions?
Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes, giving enough time to teach, practice, and answer any questions you may have.
07 How much does dog obedience training Cork cost?
We run a 6-week long course in your home for €399.99.
08 How long does dog training take?
Our Good Dog Obedience Course is 6 weeks long, and the vast majority of owners manage to achieve their goals in this time. If owners want to tackle something that is not included in the course, they might book in for an additional follow-up session, but this is rare.
Usually, you will see a big difference in your dog within 2–3 sessions.
