“Lauren’s positive, reward-based approach has proven to be the best fit for my puppy, Zowie. She’s creative and uses a wide range of techniques to tackle each challenge. Her priority is understanding the root cause of Zowie’s behaviour and identifying the most effective solution. When an exercise isn’t getting results, she pivots quickly and tries a different approach. Zowie likes this and responds easily.
I benefit from the training handouts I receive after each lesson. They keep me engaged with Zowie until our next session. Because Lauren is training me as well, she’s making a huge difference for me as a first-time, inexperienced puppy owner. I highly recommend her!”
“Lauren was excellent at her job. I contacted Lauren after reading her reviews. I enrolled our Labrador pup in the 7 week course. I would highly recommend Lauren as I saw a vast improvement in our dog. She teaches you how to manage your dog.”
“I would 100% recommend Lauren. She gave excellent and clear guidance for us as first time puppy owners. Her knowledge and experience is vast and I believe that we have a calm, happy dog because of her input. I really feel that the at home dog training was a great investment for us and the weekly practical aspect strengthened our bond with Millie – we really do think that she is now a super pup! We can take our puppy out with us and she is now socialable whereas when I initially contacted Lauren she was becoming reactive with other dogs.”

“Before training, Bodie barked at everything, pulled on the lead, and struggled with basic commands. Now he walks calmly, listens reliably, and has settled beautifully into family life.”
“Lauren was exceptional with Bowser. He’s much calmer now, listens to commands, and is far better behaved in everyday situations.”
“We highly recommend Lauren at Planet Pup. We brought home two working cocker puppies and Lauren’s help was invaluable from the very start.
She’s incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and clearly has a wealth of experience with dogs. Her advice was practical, easy to follow, and made a huge difference to both our puppies and our confidence as owners.
Thanks to Lauren, both of our dogs are now a real pleasure to be with. We’re so grateful for her support and would recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic dog trainer.”

“We had a great experience with Lauren our trainer who helped get Copper our cockapoo who had a lot of resource guarding and territorial issues to much better place in a short space time. I would highly recommend her.”
“I cannot recommend Lauren highly enough. She is absolutely amazing. The difference I have seen in my dogs in such a short period is just unbelievable. Lauren was so patient, kind, understanding and so easy to work with. Definitely worth every penny.”
“Lauren is a magician. The work she does is amazing. Chika was hyper and uncontrollable when people called to the house. He is now a lot calmer. I can open my front door and he waits on his mat, something that was unheard of until Lauren worked her magic. I cannot tell you how highly I would recommend Lauren. She’s a genius.
Chika is a lot happier now and so am I.
Thanks Lauren”

Frequently Asked Questions
01 Do I need to be present for every session?
It’s strongly recommended that at least one adult is present for all sessions — consistency between sessions is where the real progress happens. That said, anyone in the family is welcome to join, and I actively try to involve everyone as much as possible. Just bear in mind the sessions are structured for adults, so younger kids are welcome but may find them a little slow-paced after a while.
02 How quickly will I see results?
Most families notice a real difference within the first 2–3 sessions. That said, every dog is different — a young puppy picking up basic manners will progress differently to a dog working through reactivity or anxiety. I’ll always give you a realistic picture of what to expect at the start, and your training plan is reviewed and adjusted as we go.
03 My dog is seriously reactive — can you still help?
Yes. Behaviour issues like reactivity, aggression, and anxiety are exactly what the Behaviour Consult service is designed for. We start with a full assessment to understand what’s driving the behaviour, and build a structured plan from there. If at any point I feel your dog needs additional specialist support, I’ll always be upfront about that.
04 What areas of Cork do you cover?
I cover a wide range of areas across Cork including Ballincollig, Blarney, Carrigaline, Cobh, Cork City, Douglas, Fermoy, Glanmire, Mallow, and Midleton. Not sure if you’re included? Just get in touch and I’ll let you know.
05 What is the difference between Obedience and a Behaviour Consult?
Obedience training is for dogs who are generally manageable but need work on manners — things like lead walking, recall, jumping up, and impulse control. Although we do some reactivity work in our Obedience course, it is not the main focus of the course. A behaviour consult is for dogs showing more complex or worrying behaviours like aggression, serious reactivity towards dogs or people, separation anxiety, or fearfulness. If you’re unsure which is right for your dog, the free 15-minute call is the best place to start.
06 Do you train all breeds?
Yes — all breeds, all sizes, including restricted breeds. Whether you have a Labrador, a Rescue, a Cockapoo, or a Chihuahua, the training approach is adapted to suit your individual dog’s temperament, age, and history rather than their breed.
07 What if we need more sessions than the package includes?
No problem at all. Additional follow-up sessions can be added on at any point. For behaviour cases, I offer follow-up bundles of 1, 3, or 5 sessions so you can choose whatever suits your dog’s progress and your budget.
08 Is it ever too late to train an older dog?
Never. Older dogs can absolutely learn new behaviours, and age is not a barrier to training. Every dog learns at their own pace, and I adapt the training to suit the individual dog’s age, history and ability. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages with great results.
